Published on July 3, 2020 SUMMER 2020 3v3 Soccer Summer Season starts in 3 days!  Our 3v3 Summer Season starts on July 6th! Save your spot today to enjoy four great weeks of 3v3 instructional play! 3v3 soccer is a fun and fast-paced style of soccer that encourages creativity and confidence on the ball from the players. This change is aligned with our plans of starting a 3v3 neighborhood-based league and will allow the players to have a sense of a team-environment at the same time they have the freedom to learn the world’s game and improve their skills. The players will be split into teams according to their age group: 5 - 8 years old (born between 2012 and 2015) 9 - 11 years old (born between 2009 and 2011) Following all the U.S. Soccer “Play On” Grassroots Recommendations Guide, TSSA Return-to-play Guidelines, and Shelby County instructions. Practices will be limited to 8 players per age group for 45 minutes. It is important to register as soon as possible as spots will fill quickly. Check out our return-to-play guidelines on our website. We will be at 4 different locations around Memphis for 4 days a week (Monday-Thursday) from 5:30pm to 6:15pm:

3v3 Summer Season Registration is now Open!

Published June 11, 2020 SUMMER 2020 Registration for the 2020 3v3 Summer Season is now open! We are excited to announce that we are shifting to 3v3 instructional play for players ages 5 through 11 starting July 6th! This 4-week season will be from July 6th to July 31st. 3v3 soccer is a fun and fast-paced style of soccer that encourages creativity and confidence on the ball from the players. This change is aligned with our plans of starting a 3v3 neighborhood-based league and will allow the players to have a sense of a team-environment at the same time they have the freedom to learn the world’s game and improve their skills. Midtown SC – Week 1

Published June 5, 2020 MIDTOWN SC WEEK 1 It felt great to be back on the field! After long months without soccer action, our three competitive teams (Midtown SC) got back to action last Monday. All the teams practiced in small groups of 8 players and our coaches focused on fitness and skills and followed all the return-to-play guidelines set by the Tennessee State Soccer Association (TSSA) and Shelby County.  We will keep following all the return-to-play phases! We are still recruiting for next Fall! Want to be a part of our competitive teams? Our practices are also open to new players that might be interested in joining Midtown SC. PWYS Virtual End OF THE SEASON

Thank you for being part of our Virtual Season! Our Virtual Season is coming to an end after nine weeks of instructional soccer videos and challenges. We hope this season has helped players and families stay active and engaged despite these unique circumstances. Play Where You Stay's vision focuses on allowing all children to grow up learning the world's game, and we continued to offer that by adapting to new social distancing rules with a consistent online presence. We hope that our diverse videos - ranging from soccer skills to knowledge - helped our players attain a deeper understanding of our coaches' unique perspectives and backgrounds. Thank you to all of the players, families, and supporters who have helped make this transformation successful. Keep an eye out this week for updates about our developmental practices and competitive teams. Our number one priority is the health and safety of our players, and we will continue to follow all the return-to-play guidelines. PWYS Virtual Season Week 8 Recap

On week 8, Coach Felipe shared his story and passion for Flamengo and Maracana Stadium Coach Felipe talks about his favorite team Flamengo and goes over the history of Maracanã, one of the most iconic stadiums in the world. Felipe is from Rio and has been going to Maracanã since he was 6 years old with his family. Maracanã was built to serve as the flagship venue for the 1950 World Cup. It is one of the most iconic stadiums in the world and two World Cup Finals took place there in 1950 and 2014. If you ever get the chance of visiting Rio de Janeiro, you should go visit Maracana! PWYS Virtual Season Week 7 Recap

1st PWYS Interview - Midtown SC 01' player Paulo and Coach Lucas The first two guests of the 1st Play Where You Stay interview were Coach Lucas and the Midtown player Paulo. Paulo shared his story and college plans while listening to Lucas's experience in High School, Club, and College Soccer. Paulo is a senior at Central High School and wants to play soccer while getting his degree in Business. Lucas, a member of the CBU's Men's Soccer Team, went through the same process two years ago and gave Paulo some important advice. We are glad to have both of them in our program and we will continue to help them reach their goals! "I'm thankful to play for Midtown SC. It made it easier for me to be seen by college coaches!" PWYS Virtual Season Week 6 Recap

In week six, our great coaches introduced "The Elastico" skill and fun drills you can do in your backyards! This week, coach Felipe taught "The Elastico" skill. This skill is used by the most technical players around the world and it's a great way to combine the use of the inside and the outside of the foot. A fun drill that worked on ball control and passing was also taught by Coach Lucas.
